Students expressed feeling fear, anger, or sadness 2-3 times a week during the pandemic, according to the COVID-19 Psychological Adolescent Impact Survey conducted by I'RAISE. "The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and school closures may have impacts on mental health and academic outcomes in the near and long-term," according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It is important to support youths' social and emotional well-being right now.
I'RAISE Girls & Boys International Corporation is a Bronx-based nonprofit serving youth and families by supporting their emotional and social well-being in schools and communities across the U.S. We understand that youth may be feeling more anxious, stressed, sad, scared, or angry after facing effects of COVID-19 and social unrest.
