Lawyer Fees

I am raising money to help my sister in law hire a lawyer. She was recently served divorce papers and is scared she will lose her kids due to the fact she can not pay for a lawyer. She has no money of her own and no way to pay the retainer fee.
He has given no clear reason for leaving and is unwilling to work it out or see a counselor.
He is asking for custody of the kids and for her to pay child support. They have 4 kids and she hasn't worked in years. Being a mommy is what she does best.
She is strong and willing to do whatever it takes to care for her kids. She is crushed by the fact that her husband is leaving and the thought of going days without seeing her kids scares her.

P.S. Some of you noticed the date said Jan. 28th. I had an orginal page but just changed the info on it because I didn't see you could have more than one page. She was served on Feb. 27, 2014.
