Help me and my kitties stay here

I've previously posted and emailed friends about my dilemma; tonight a very dear friend suggested I attempt to reach out via this web site. Many of you know that I was extremely surprised to discover that my unemployment benefits were suddenly cut off at the beginning of January, despite previous assurances that money remained in my claim account, that I was not subject to the Congressional inaction on Federal extensions, and that I had at least 3 more months of benefits. The final word arrived last week, and I have been trying to appeal, even contacting my friend in the State Senate to intervene. The process isn't complete, but I've had no money from them since 1/2/14, and I only have additional income of $1,000 per month. Without enough money to pay rent in February, I've begun a moving out process, which would happen Saturday. I've had some promising leads for jobs, and expect to have one within 30 days. My biggest concern is that I have 2 young cats that cannot go with me; I posted a request for adoption on Facebook, but am concerned I won't find a placement for them by Saturday, and will have to take them to a shelter, which breaks my heart. Here's what I'm seeking: donations of any amount to enable me to pay my $995 rent for February. This would give me another month to a) resolve my issue with unemployment; b) at least get a job offer; and/or c) enable me to find a good home for my cats.
