On 1/24/14 Bernard a St. Bernard mix was found by Tawnya a local 2nd Chances Rescue Volunteer in the Bloomington, CA area. Tawnya was driving her daughter to school when she noticed a head pop up from the floor. When she turned her car around she discovered this pup had been hit by a car and was in critical condition. With the help of local police officers she loaded him onto her car and drove him to Atlas hospital where he was given pain meds, x-rays, and blood work. The vet discovered that he has a pelvis fracture in 2 locations, chest contusion, and a laceration that needed to be sutured. The vet estimates that this pup is about 2 years old based on his teeth.
