Medical Bills

Our dad was rushed back to the hospital on September 17, 2020. Since being placed he has had an ongoing off and on fever that was accompanied by uncontrolled seizures, hydrocephalus ( fluid in the brain), and enlarged Lymph nodes, Due to his ongoing seizures, he was placed in the ICU to be sedated to help his brain rest from the nonstop seizures. His platelet count was going down and has needed to have an ongoing blood transfusion to help raise his platelets. Recently he had to be put back on sedation due to tremors that his doctor found in his arm. The doctors seem to have no answers as to why this is happening to him and so far have been trying different medications. He has already gone through a series of blood work testing, MRI, Spinal, and Biopsy. At this point now our family has unfortunately exhausted all of our financial resources. The longer my dad stays in the hospital the more his medical bill is going up with all the testing he still needs and the medication. The doctors have let us know that if we cannot put 50-75% towards my dad's occurred medical expenses that has now reached 55,000 Cad  they would stop his treatment. As a family, we wanted to keep this as much as possible within our family but now we have exhausted all of our savings. We want to make sure that my dad gets the care that he needs to find the answers to his medical mystery.
