Aid For Amelia

Friends, The Freedman family, of the well known Freedman's Bakery are working to raise funds to assist their niece, two year old Amelia Golub. She is currently a warrior fighting the fight of her life by battling kidney cancer. You see, Amelia has a tumor called "Wilm's" tumor. The tumor was too large for surgery. She underwent three rounds of chemo to reduce the tumor's size so an operation was possible. The kidney as well as lymph nodes were removed but the cancer had spread Amelia needed to be sedated to receive radiation daily for a number of weeks. She now has 28 weeks of chemo scheduled 90 miles from her home in North East Poland. Her mom remains unemployed because Amelia needs her by her side. As you can imagine, the costs for transportation (gas is four times the price here), second opinions, supplements, alternative medicines, and other bills are exorbitant. They need our help! Our family is partnering with the Jewish Family and Children's Service of Monmouth County, NJ to collect donations for Amelia's family. JFCS mission is to provide innovative, responsive, cost effective, non-sectarian human services that enhance the quality of life for children, families and the aged in our communities. Donations will be made to JFCS which is a 501c3 non-profit organization. We are hosting a fundraiser on February 9th 2014 at Bar Anticipation from two to eight PM. The event will feature at least two of the hottest bands on the Jersey Shore. So Watt and Six to Midnight. (With special guest musical appearances) The "FUN"raiser will include music, food, drink specials, games of chance and a silent auction with a wide range of goods and services donated by some great great people.
