Mosaic Mission: BRAZIL 2014
MOSAIC MISSION: BRAZIL 2014
In March 2014, I will be co-leading a team on a missions-trip to Brazil to serve a dynamic
organization called "Restore Brazil."
For more info about Restore Brazil chk out this video:
Our goal will be to serve the church-planters in the "favelas." The
favelas are the most densely-populated portions of Rio de Janeiro and
they are riddled with extreme poverty and crime.
We are SUPER EXCITED to go to Brazil to help serve in the favelas. Each team member is responsible to raise $2,000.00 in order to participate in the trip. I am inviting all my friends and family to be a part of this by financially investing!
I first heard about Restore Brazil in the fall of 2013 and I was
instantly impressed, so when the opportunity arose for me to go to
Brazil to work with them, it was a no-brainer.
This organization does several awesome things:
- Training pastors and church-planters
- Helping to raise funds for church-planting
- Leading several social justice initiatives
- Training local leaders to engage in social justice
- Recruiting missions-teams to come serve in Brazil
In 2009, Jay Bauman and his wife Luciane moved to Rio de Janeiro.
For several years Jay served as a church-planter and pastor in the USA, so naturally he began to do the same thing in Brazil. He has planted a church and been pastoring there for several years.
But Jay and his team have also taken it a GIANT step further than just planting one church. Through partnerships with a variety of great organizations, like the ACTS 29 network, they have been able to make an incredible difference in the lives of so many Brazilians across the country.
