on 1/20/2014, four month old alexandra paige new was rushed to the emergency room after suffering from a seizure that caused her to stop breathing. what began as every parent's worst nightmare took a turn for the worse when hospital staff diagnosed alex with shaken baby syndrome. alex has been placed in protective custody and her father, sean m new, is being targeted by investigators in part due to his military background and the stigma that is attached to service members regarding ptsd and other mental health issues. charges are expected to be filed against sean in the upcoming days, and alex will be placed in foster care as soon as her condition is stable enough. all funds raised will be used to pay legal fees abs help the news fight to keep their family together. thank you in advance for your support.
