Veterinary expenses

My dog is very old and is need of a vet visit, he was my great grandmother’s dog and she never really took him to the vet or even so much as gave him a bath, I recently had to take him in as she passed away recently,  he’s got this awful bite from another dog on the left side of his face I’ve tried to treat it at home but everything is saying I need to go to the vet but I simply just don’t have the money to do so, I love this dog with all of my heart and there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for him, he’s been there with me through everything I just want to make sure his last days on this earth aren’t spent in pain.
