Help Save Dakota from Cancer!

Dakota is a 2 year old Great Pyrenees Bernese Mountain Dog Mix. A highly intelligent, sweet, and loving dog who was rescued from a high kill shelter in June, has just been diagnosed with bone cancer in her shoulder at 2 years old. The cancer has spread rapidly, devastating 40% of the bone mass in her shoulder in the two weeks since it reared its ugly head. The vet has said that the leg will need to be amputated, and then go from there.

UPDATE: Dakota has been through surgery and is healing well! Originally the Surgeon thought the cancer had spread to her lungs, but our primary vet looked over his findings and disagreed. it is now up to us to keep the cancer at bay! Funds will be very tight as we work to pay off the portion of the surgery that wasn't covered by everyone's generous donations, and I have constructed a wish list for the Herbal treatments to keep the cancer away.

I cannot thank everyone enough for everything they've done for us here. The kindness and generosity we have been shown is something I will never forget, for the rest of my life. This would not have been possible if not for each and every one of you who have helped.
