Yates Family

Our friend Kim left the work force and her successful career over 25 years ago to be a stay-at-home mom. Kim has five children, two of whom are still living at home. One of these children, James, has cerebral palsy and has significant physical limitations. Recently, Kim’s financial support has dwindled due to loss of employment of her former spouse and father of the children.

            Courageously, Kim has recently re-entered the workforce and despite her many ongoing life challenges, is working full time. In order to reduce the family’s expenses, she has sold the family’s home of 18 years and is in the process of relocating to a smaller, less expensive home. Kim’s immediate financial need emanates from the necessity to find temporary living arrangements between the time the family moves from the existing home to when the new home is available. The cost of handicap accessible short-term housing has created a shortfall of approximately $3500. This is our fundraising goal.

 
       Kim is a great mom and Christian woman of deep faith. She has battled things no one should ever have to face. Kim has dedicated her life to raising her family and now must also provide the family’s financial support. Please help us support Kim Yates through this critical time. Kim is doing everything she can on her own and has a long-term plan to meet her financial needs once the move has been completed. She would never ask for monetary donations, but we felt it important to do this on her behalf in this desperate situation.
