Service Dog for Alayna

Please consider helping my beautiful, talented, amazing daughter who God has created wonderfully and for a special purpose and plan. Alayna finds herself on this journey of life with some challenges she is seeking to overcome including a recent diagnosis of autism and extreme anxiety disorder with a service dog.
We have applied for numerous programs that provide service dogs but all have denied us. We have been praying and searching for options and have determined that the best direction is to get a specially bred dog and have it professionally trained. Any service dog is a big investment, but we feel this is the best course of treatment for her. Will you help us reach our goal of $6,000 to buy a specially bred dog and get the dog professionally trained to Alayna’s specific needs? We are hoping to have the funds raised by Sept. 15th. Below is a statement for Alayna in her own words of why she needs a service dog.
“My name is Alayna Peters and I am an 18 year old girl. I have autism and extreme anxiety. I need a service dog to help me be more independent and live a fuller life. Right now without a service dog I am too scared to go to the store by myself and to school on my own or talk to people or even ask for help. Having a service dog would help me with these things and in many other ways. Some of the tasks that it would perform for me are deep pressure therapy, alerting me before I become too overwhelmed and standing between me and a stranger making me feel more comfortable and less afraid. I would be able to go to school, to work, to the store or to a restaurant without always having to be with my parents. Having a service dog would impact my life greatly and allow me to do more things.”
