Welcome to the fundraising page for the Spring Break College Tour of Ms. Brand's Advisory. We are from Legal Prep Charter Academy- a new high school on the West Side of Chicago.
Our advisory is made up of 14 incredibly talented, driven, and amazing young women. Here are some of us from last year:
This year, our girls dreamt up the following trip for their Spring Break:
6 colleges, 4 days, 14 girls (& 3 brave chaperones :) )
We are planning a road trip through Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana to see Akron University, Kenyon College, Ohio State University, Ohio University, Northern Kentucky University, and Butler University.
This trip would be HUGE for many of our girls-- a chance to get out of West Side Chicago, see a new part of the country, envision their futures with college as a focus, and make the kinds of memories that help unite and motivate a young group of girls to achieve success.
We have to raise $3200, and so far are 25% of the way there. Our school is 99% free or reduced lunch, so our funds are extremely limited. We have hosted a Dodgeball Tournament, sold Taffy Apples, sold Valentine's Flowers, and helped with our school's Valentine's dance in efforts to raise this money. Any amount that you could donate will go a long way to helping us make this dream come true!
