Hope Through Volleyball

Aloha, My name is Josiah Koria from Tyrell's Angels. A non-profit organization for houseless youth. I humbly ask for your help to sign up one of my houseless kids for the Kova volleyball club. Her name is Sariah, she is a 16 year old student at Wai'anae High School. She also resides in the islands biggest houseless encampment known to most as Pu'uhonua O Wai'anae. Although she has been houseless most of her life Sariah receives nothing but A's and B's on her report card. Her dream is to one day be a Pediatrician. Sariah made the High School Volleyball team this year & fell in love with it. Even during a loss she still kept her spirits up & never gave up. At times when she felt like quitting we pushed her to keep going. Now she wants to further her skills by continuing to play for Kova Volleyball Club in hopes to be better for next school year. Sariah has become like a daughter to me. With all that she's been through she remains happy & positive. As the closest thing she has to a father figure, she inspires me to be a better person everyday. My goal is to keep her involved in as many sports & after school programs as possible so that she can learn to multitask & broaden her knowledge & life experience, so that she can succeed in life & break the cycle of houselessness.
