We are organizing a fundraiser on behalf of Rachel Berger Montgomery to help with the costs of her memorial.
Rachel passed away at the young age of 52, peacefully, in her sleep on April 7, 2021. She leaves behind her 19-year-old daughter Angel and husband, Craig.
If you had the pleasure of meeting Rachel, you were one of the lucky ones. She was such an amazing mom to her daughter, an awesome wife to her husband, and the best friend ever! Rachel also was an English teacher at Pembroke Academy and was well-loved by all of her students and colleagues. She had a great sense of humor and an affection for all animals. She made it easy to love her and was a beautiful soul taken from us far too soon.

From Rachel's daughter Angel: My mom was an amazing person and it is almost impossible to express how kind, loving, determined, strong, compassionate, and brilliant she was. She would hate that her age is on this post and she always told her friends/family/anyone that she was 39 for as long as I can remember. She worked so hard to make sure that I had an amazing life and knew about birds and nature and she was so successful in giving me the best life possible. I wanted to comment to share a story from when I was a kid. When I was 5 my mom let me have a “pet” mosquito named Joe and, even though she hated bugs, she knew I would be really upset if she killed him. Granted he was only in the house for a day or two before he bit me and I finally gave up on taming the mosquito so she could squish him. - Angel
