Ashleigh Bransky to Carnegie Hall
Donation protected
Hello, I'm Ashleigh!
I am a high school senior from Chugiak, Alaska. I began playing the viola in the fifth grade. Ever since, I have enjoyed playing in an orchestra and find the experience very fulfilling. I currently am the principal violist in my high school orchestra, am a member of the Anchorage Youth Symphony, play in a string quartet, and recently participated in the Alaska All-State Music Festival in Anchorage, Alaska.
In 2010 I was invited for the first time to audition for the Honors Performance Series. This music program allows elite student musicians from here in the U.S. and select international countries the privilege of performing at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Previously, I never thought I would be able to afford to participate because there are several associated costs such as transportation, lodging, and meals in addition to the program cost. However, my family and I consider this trip a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so in the fall of 2013, I decided to audition. I was excited when I found out I was one of only about 500 students selected to perform from approximately 10,000 nominees.
Now I am asking for your help to represent my family, school, community, and state and make one of my dreams a reality. Any donation, no matter the amount, is greatly appreciated.
