Rudy Martinez

Rudy had stomach pains for months, always going to the emergency room. He got an ulcer which bled, and that was his first hospitalization 8/31/18. It was then they had an idea that his stomach issues might be cancer. On 9/5/18 he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Stomach Cancer. He chose to go through Chemo every 2 weeks from then on. He and Lisa looked to God for a miracle to rid him of the cancer. He quickly started to retain fluid and has to have it drained from his stomach and lungs. He also learned the cancer had spread to his abdomen and later to his intestine wall. He had catheters put in his abdomen and each lung surgically as the cancer is progressing. During all of this Lisa has been by his side in and out of the hospital, caring for him at home while making sure the boys are with Rudy as much as he could handle. Rudy takes medications for the pain, and sleeps a lot.
Lisa is so very fortunate that her employer is allowing her to work from home, so she can be there for Rudy. Her parents are helping as much as possible. We started the GoFundMe Page to help with all the expenses that aren't covered by insurance (which are many), home health care, funeral expenses, and returning Rudy back to Mexico for burial.
All of us are wishing that Rudy beats the cancer, unfortunately the prognosis isn't good.
