My name is Kelcie Howren. I am a senior at the University of Houston majoring in Advertising with a minor in Art History. I am a passionate and creative individual who is committed to hard work and achieving the goals I have set for myself. I have high expectations of what I want to achieve. My whole life I have wanted to be extremely successful, to be part of something big, and to be in New York. Now I have the opportunity to do just that. I know what I want and where I want to be. My goal is to participate in a Dream Careers' internship program set in New York City which is an opportunity of a lifetime.

I work 30 to 40 hours per week while going to school full time. Last semester I took 18 credits. I have been able to work and juggle school and still maintain great grades, consistently being on the Deans list. I know given the opportunity to participate in this program, I'll gain the skills and experience necessary to get a great career in this very competitive job market.

This internship opportunity is huge! It will set the stage for my professional career. The situations that I will experience while participating in this program will directly affect all aspects of my professional career. I will gain experiences working with top companies in the advertising field that will stay with me for a lifetime. I will get hands on experience and skills that will give me an advantage in the workplace. I am ready to bring my enthusiasm to New York, show them what I have to offer, and soak up every ounce of knowledge that this exciting experience will give me.
