Hi my name is Nina. In May of 2013, my son Destine was diagnosed with Autism. My dream, wish and hope is to spread Autism Awareness throughout the world one community at a time.
Since I was 16 I knew there was a calling on my life to educate and lead, I just didn't know who, what or how. When my son was diagnosed with Autism, I knew spreading awareness was my calling. Helping parents cope with the initial news of finding out their child is autistic, and helping those who have no idea what autism is, to become more educated on the disorder. What I've absorbed in 6 months is no fluke, my passion and dedication to my son and other's like him has consumed every aspect of my life. I am reaching out to you through GoFundMe! to ask for donations to help me get my dream and calling off the ground.
I have created an image that embraces the phrase "I love a child with Autism" and "I love someone with Autism" to screen print on tote bags. The donations will help me fund the materials and supplies I need to create these totes. My ultimate goal is to work with organizations to provide the tote bag and information to parents when they first find out their child is diagnosed with autism.
For parents with children diagnosed with Autism it is no easy task. There are good days and bad days but I am dedicated to sharing my story, my experiences and my tears with my peers as Autism is a growing epidemic. We are the voice of our children and loved ones coping with Autism. Help me bring awareness.
AUTISM AWARENESS!!! I am currently owner of We Rock the Spectrum Kids Gym, working on securing a SBA Loan to fund this project. This is a challenging process as I do not have the financial stand the lenders are looking for. Please donate to the cause. All proceeds will go toward opening my We Rock the Spectrum kids gym for all kids, a safe haven for children with autism.
