Danielle’s Battle with Lymphoma

Hi, my name is Cindy and I’m fundraising for my son Nate and his wife Danielle. On September 10th, 2022 Danielle went into the hospital thinking she had pneumonia only to find there was a mass 10 cm x 14 cm sitting in front of her heart. A biopsy was done on September 22nd and this week she received her diagnosis. Danielle has primary mediastinal large B cell lymphoma, a type of non-Hodgkin’s cancer. This tumor is considered aggressive and sitting on or near vital organs and spreading quickly. With aggressive tumors come aggressive chemo and immunotherapy. Every three weeks, Danielle will undergo a five to six day stay in the hospital where she will receive her chemotherapy and be monitored by oncology nurses. Then lots of rest and repeat. Every 21 days she will return to the hospital over the course of the next 18 weeks. This is a rigorous and long chemotherapy of five different medications that will greatly effect her immune system and have many side effects.

There are some ways our family and friends can help..

Financial donations are huge right now. The Tanner’s are already facing thousands in medical debt and this is just the beginning. Danielle is the insurance policy cardholder and is required to work 30 hours a week to keep benefits. With the chemo schedule we are unsure if she will be able to continue work. She has currently exhausted her paid leave since she is just getting back from maternity leave a week ago. Insurance has also been such a hassle and trying to deny hospital stays, etc.

A meal train is being started for the family. Helping with a meal and getting Nate and the kids fed while Danielle is at the hospital or not well enough to cook would be a huge help. Meal Train CLICK HERE

Having to be inpatient for treatment and it lasting almost a week at a time, Nate and Danielle are needing help with their three children- Luke (4), Presley (1.5) and Lane (3 months). Diapers and formula would also be a huge help to the family and one less thing to worry about.

We are so thankful for the donations to come and the love and prayers that have been poured out for our family. This is going to be the battle of her life but we know the Lord has placed his hand over all of this.
