We are reaching out to the community – including friends and family, artists and musicians, and all those who value the local art and music scene…
For those who might not be familiar with Gesso Magazine, it is a free physical zine that serves the greater St Louis area in the realms of art, music, and culture
We are asking that you help us reach our fundraising goal with any donation amount that feels comfortable to you.

There are many exciting things on the horizon for this community project (including the introduction of color pages in this month’s issue!!!) … At this time, we are asking for a little extra support from the community to help us at this important crossroads in the course of this project.
This collaborative zine, a tangible manifestation of the local creative movement, began in 2006 as Str8 Up Magazine and re-launched in January of 2019 as Gesso Magazine… Since its inception, it has featured the works of HUNDREDS of metro artists in print, on-line, at gallery exhibitions, and at live events like Midwest Salute To The Arts.
We have supported the local music scene with feature articles, hosted musical gatherings, and routinely provided an extensive calendar of local events with daily Facebook updates to help everyone know where to find great music in this area all month long. Our publication reaches THOUSANDS of readers monthly and is made available free of charge at several hundred metro area locations on both sides of the river.
