Help Support Maxi Rae

Donation protected
When Melissa and Tyler Macklin were 15 weeks pregnant, with their second child, they got the news that their baby tested positive for Down syndrome. They decided to continue with the pregnancy despite their awareness of the medical and emotional battles to come. On September 9, 2013 baby Maxi Rae Macklin was born, via C-section. She was born with a hole in her heart, which caused her lungs to have... to work over time, and caused strain on other organs in her tiny body. In January 2014 they discovered another hole in her heart and decided that they would have to do surgery for a double VSD (Ventricular Septal Defect). With Maxi only weighing 9 pounds 4 ounces at 4 months old, this surgery is very high risk. Melissa is currently going to school and tutoring and Tyler works construction in the valley. During the surgery and for a while after Melissa will no longer go to school or work, and Tyler will also take off work to be with them in Spokane. We are asking for the publics help in raising funds to help with travel costs, food, lodging, every day bills, and every day expenses while they are out of work. Although insurance will help with a portion of the travel and food expenses it will not cover everything, and it won't put anything towards every day bills that will need attention. The Macklins and their families thank you for everything and anything you contribute to help
