Study Abroad In Sweden

Hello everyone, my name is Kaylyn Alston. I am a 19 year old BFA dance major at Montclair State University (MSU). I have been heavily devoted to the arts field since the age of 5, as well as other civic organizations. Some of the arts communities and organizations I have been a part of are the Dwana Smallwood Performing Arts Center, the Young Women`s Christian Assocation in Brooklyn (YWCA). As of Spring 2018, I became a member of the Xi Iota chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated.
“On this trip, Students will experience the rich dance culture of Sweden by participating in dance classes, seeing dance performances, and engage in broader cultural experiences in Sweden during Spring Break of 2019. Through classes at several Swedish dance institutions, they will be exposed to some of the top dance educators in Stockholm and will be able to compare and contrast the dance training in Sweden and the United States. Attending several dance performances will give students a broader understanding of the contemporary dance scene and distinguish European dance trends. Students begin the trip in Stockholm for the first 6 days, and then travel to Gothenburg, Sweden.The cost of this program will go towards the airfare, Breakfasts, one group dinner, modern hostel or hotel in quad rooms, airport transfers, performance tickets, workshops, and tours.”
This program is also worth one full credit.Aside from the application fee, the very first installment of this program is due as early as November 15th. With your support, I can be one step closer to achieving my goal of studying internationally!
Being able to travel to Sweden would only help to increase my passion for the arts as well expose me to another culture. If I am able to recieve this opportunity to attend this program, I will be eternally grateful!
