Help with Medical Expenses for Brandon Foote

Donation protected
It has been a long five-plus years of managing fatigue, severe food sensitivities, weight loss and intense respiratory problems for Brandon.  After leaving his job in Lansing, Michigan in 2015 in search of improved health, the Foote family has been on an unclear journey.  In the summer of 2019, under the care of a provider at the Cleveland Clinic, Brandon was finally diagnosed with two underlying issues that can be treated; Lyme disease (Borrelia burgdorferi) and Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome, also known as CIRS (including mycotoxin overgrowth).

Looking back, the chronic Lyme disease diagnosis makes plenty of sense given the symptoms he has experienced over the years.  The other pressing issue is a positive culture for a mycotoxin overgrowth (mold illness), which is connected to Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS).  The specific strain of mold that Brandon is testing positive for is sterigmatocystin, which is considered to be carcinogenic, particularly in the cells of the GI tract and liver.  X-rays of his lungs are also showing mild hyperinflation.

After endless hours of research, office visits (now up to 12 different medical providers), reading and assistance from the greater community, Brandon has started working with two very specific practitioners for treatment.  He travels to Grand Rapids twice weekly for ultraviolet blood irradiation/ozone therapy treatments and intravenous nutritional supplementation (due to his very limited diet).  He also heads to Chicago monthly to work alongside a doctor under the guidance of The Shoemaker Protocol (a proven, legitimate and leading method to treat CIRS).

Due to his food sensitivities, Brandon adheres to a strict non-dairy ketogenic diet composed of meats, eggs, vegetables and a set of very specific tolerable supplements.  Unfortunately, the majority of this treatment, core nutritional support and testing are not covered by health insurance.

Due to the high costs of medical care, out-of-pocket expenses and travel; Ryan Smith, Seth Bernard, Ty Forquer, Sam Corbin, Laura Ann Bates-Lerman and Jamie Krapohl are seeking support for Brandon through this GoFundMe page.  Please consider donating to help him on his path to recovery.
