Hello! My name is Ryan Stratis and I have been accepted to compete in Malaysia for the Sasuke ASEAN Cup. This is an international event where athletes from all over the world are invited to take on an obstacle course that only a few have ever beaten. If you are familiar with Sasuke or Ninja Warrior then you know how challenging and exciting this is!

I will go ahead and say that I am not one to usually request aid in this manner. For the previous 6 years I have been able to support myself in this quest but all while I was still serving in the Georgia Army National Guard. When my service obligation was up I decided to pursue other endeavors in the civilian sector and I have had trouble finding my stride. I make enough money now to support myself but my budget doesn't include trips to the other side of the world sadly. I applied for this just hoping to be accepted because I love the show that much and it has changed my life over the last half decade. I wish to pay my respects to my fellow competitors in Malaysia who have paved the way for this show to be as popular as it is today and thank them for the positive impact it has had on my life and many others. With that said below is a brief background on my ninja activities.

I have competed in every season of American Ninja Warrior and made it to the finals in Japan for Sasuke 27. I was able to make it to the third stage where I fell short on the Ultimate Cliffhanger. This would be the last time ANW sent it's top competitors to Japan. Since then the finals have been held in Las Vegas where the entire course has been rebuilt and is challenging as ever.

ANW 5 Entry Video, this video recaps how I performed at ANW 3 and 4 and what training I focused on for the 5th try out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3uOCGo0tGio&feature=youtu.be

This is a rare opportunity that they have provided by opening this competition world wide. I am hoping to gather the funds necessary to make the trip and support a few close ninja friends that were also accepted to the competition. I plan on documenting the train up, travel and competition results in a behind the scenes format for an inside look at what this competition entails. Any and every donation will help and I'll be sure to give it my best should I make it all the way!

Flight
The competition starts on the 21st of February so I would need to fly out on the 16th since its almost a 2 day flight and that would allow for some time to adjust to the new schedule. The final day of competition is on the 23rd so I would fly out on the 24th. Prices for flights are ranging from 1800 - 2000 depending on the time / airline.

Hotel
If we arrive on the 18th we would need to stay through the 24th. So a 6 day stay. Hoping to raise 500 for this to aid other ninjas that will be accompanying me.

Food
500 for this to cover the weeks worth of food for 4 other friends that I am hoping join me in this adventure.

Thank you again and I will do my best!
