68 Act of Kindness - Emily Webster Last Christmas

Hi I’m Paris McKenzie! I’m a player on the UNM women’s soccer team from Derby, England.

Last month my 18 year old brother finished his 3 year long cancer treatment and shortly after my grandma, Emily Webster (68) was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer (Adenocarcinoma). She was given 4-6 months to live without treatment but has agreed to have chemotherapy which may prolong her life slightly but she won’t make it to another Christmas.

Shes one of the sweetest and most caring women you could meet and her dying wish is to see all the family one last time and have a little family holiday/reunion in an Air BnB on the English coast for a week! She has 4 daughters, 10 grandsons, 7 grand daughters (me included) and a great grandson and grand daughter.

Her other hope is to give all her grandchildren a day out together at an amusement park or activity centre in England! Or to quote her “day filled with fun, laughter plus good memories they will always remember with happiness not tears”.

In order to help raise money for this, I’ve decided to pass forward 68 acts of kindness, one for every year of her life and to sky dive at the end of the challenge. Due to the pandemic and hardship of our current times, with help from my friends and family I’d like to help the nurses in anyway we can. Such as acts like surprising them and cleaning their back yard for them etc. I’m hoping to get the challenge done by the end of the year!!
