Helping Daniel’s Children

If anyone could light up a room it was Daniel Soroka. A few years ago he married the love of his life, Karen, and their two kids Ben (6)  and Hannah (9mo) were his world. They recently bought a house, were enrolling Ben in a new school and looking forward to a family vacation when tragedy struck. Daniel got very sick a few weeks ago and suffered cardiac arrest and has been in the hospital ICU for over a week fighting for his life surrounded by family and friends who worshipped and prayed around the clock. Ultimately, his body could not recover and he left this world on Tuesday, August 13 and entered into the eternal embrace of Jesus.

Wherever Daniel went, he carried joy and a belly laugh that was so contagious. He was the family grill master and loved all things outdoors. He was our fireworks guru and gave us shows on the 4th of July that would rival Disney. He loved taking Ben on his adventures whether it was Nascar races or secret fishing holes. Dan loved the Lord and loved to introduce others to the joy, freedom, and love that he experienced through his relationship with Jesus. He found people at the margins and gave them a place of comfort and understanding. If you were around Daniel, you knew you were loved and you knew you would laugh.

For those at a loss for words, wanting to help in some way, any way....we know it would be all about his family if Dan had his wish.  So we are setting this up for contributions to help Karen and the kids in the coming times.
