Fundraiser for my family
Don protégé
Dear Friends,
Before sharing my family story, I’d like to thank all of you for continuously supporting Ukraine through donations, volunteering, spreading awareness and simply checking in on your Ukrainian friends and their families. Thank you to my friends for checking in, you know who you are - my collective rock - and it is humbling to receive this outpouring of support when it comes to this crisis. It truly means so much <3
While I was not born in Ukraine, it is a place that is very close to my heart. My mother was born in Ukraine in 1962, in a village called Labushnoe, in the Odessa Region. She was born into a big family of 8 children, her being the youngest. Out of the 8 siblings, only 3 are alive today, including my mother and two of them are my aunts, who are currently in the Voznesensk Region. We have a big and growing family, a total of 28 family members - with a new baby born during the war, my 4th cousin! We have started this GoFundMe to help my family with basics such as food, water, electricity bills, healthcare, etc. Many of them are currently out of jobs and have not had any source of income since the war began on February 24th. Also, during the explosions a few weeks ago, my aunts house was affected and most of the windows and doors have shattered and are currently replaced by cardboard and other items they could find. These funds will also go towards helping her fix up the house once it is possible to do so.
We truly appreciate everyone’s support and we pray that this ends soon. Sending everyone love, peace and hugs. Slava Ukraini!
