Last year my husband and I made the decision that he would leave Missouri to seek employment. He had been unable to find anything that was full time and permanent here, and had been working several part times jobs at a time with no benefits for nearly 18 months. First he traveled back to Tennessee with my parents, they had been visiting for the holidays. He found a job within a week. It was just minimum wage, but it was enough to help get us back on our feet again while he continued to look for something that paid better and had benefits.

He decided to contact his old employer in New York, (we moved to Missouri several years ago) and by luck or chance, they were hiring and he was able to get his previous job back. The money is better and there are benefits.

We have been apart for 13 months now, we have been together as a family for three weeks over those 13 months. One week in June when the kids and I drove to Tennessee, then for a week when my husband came to Missouri to get our van so he could drive to New York, and finally for 5 days over Christmas.

We are currently saving to move, and will have enough for the actual move itself by March and we have been looking around for a place to rent. We found a place this weekend that is perfect. It's affordable, in a great school district that two of our kids actually started school in, (our oldest daughter graduates next year and she still has friends there), there are three bedrooms, and we can have our dog. There's only one catch; we need a deposit to hold it and we just don't have it right now. That is what brings us here, to Fund Me!

We have always worked hard, and we have tried to do things on our own. We hate asking for money, and we have found ourselves in this position far more often than we would like over the last couple of years. We've been lucky to have friends and family to help us though the worst of this, and right now we are reaching out one more time. Our number one concern is being together as a family again, and part of that means having affordable, suitable housing.

We don't have a lot to offer, but as a thank you we would like to give some art if you donate $100 or more. You pick the artist (Myself or one of the kids) and we will create something one of a kind for you.

Thank you so much for visiting our page. We appreciate you just taking the time to check this out.
