Helping Hand, COVID times.

Well unfortunately times have not been easy for many individuals due to the COVID 19 and quarantine here in California. So much that it has affected my employment directly and has caused my employer to lay me off. Although I have been applying for assistance through city services, I’ve had to pick between shelter vs food at times making the situation even more difficult. I had hoped that I would bounce back within a few weeks of being laid off but here I am over two months later and with no luck. I have never had this much difficulty acquiring a job in my life and it is very much reflected on the impact the pandemic has had to our economy and hard working families and single parent families. 

Being a single father in the current situation has not been easy. Yes at times one feels like a failure but the moment has to pass and one must act, which is why I took a friends advice and decided to start this Go Fund Me. I am hoping Ican raise enough money so that I don’t have to stress over bills, shelter and food for the next two months like I have been the past 8 weeks. I am confident that with a continuing drive and with faith I will land something very soon so that I can once again provide for not only myself but more importantly my son and show him that difficult times like the ones we are experiencing will not keep us down.
