Jeannie Elrod

As you all are aware, Jeannie learned in August that she has metastatic lung cancer. In addition, she suffered TIA's and a stroke which was caused by clots forming the her heart valve -- something her cardiologist did not think possible, but unfortunately cancer changes many things. The good news is that Jeannie is a candidate for cutting edge immunotherapy which has minimal side effects unlike chemotherapy.  The even better news is they have already seen indications that it's working.  The bad news is that she will need to take the drug every day of her life, and it is extremely expensive and not covered by Medicare or her supplemental drug insurance.   Many have asked how you can help Jeannie financially as this is a huge burden and one that weighs heavily on her.  As we all want Jeannie to focus her energy mentally and physically on getting better, we have set up this Go Fund Me page campaign. Any funds raised will help Jeannie recover costs she has already had to pay out as well as for any future services/expenses she may want/need going forward.
