Abel Garcia Memorial

Abel was a loving soul, with two children and two grandchildren. He loved his family with all his heart. In 2015 Abel started to show the early stages of Alzheimer's. Unfortunately for Abel and the family it progressed quickly and the family had to move him to a home where he could get the around the clock care he needed. Over the last year Abel started to forget everyone and everything he knew. The one thing that brought him joy was his grandchildren. It almost seemed like they were the only ones he remembered. The last week of his life Abel fought long and hard against pneumonia. He was on oxygen, a feeding tube and other machines to help him fight, but he just couldn't beat the pneumonia. The family had to make the hard decision to take him off everything but the feeding tube and oxygen. Abel joined the Lord our God, Jesus, and the Angels in heaven on September 27, 2018.
