Trevor's Medical Bills

When Trevor was a young self conscious teenager he had acne and his parents took him to a Dermatologist to help him out with his self confidence. The doctor prescribed Acutane, like they do for most people. However, while on Acutane he got very sick and his primary physician gave him antibiotics. The combination of these two drugs attacked his colon and since that time Trevor has has to deal with ulcerative colitis. This disease isn’t visible to the naked eye but it causes horrible ulcers to form in his lower intestines and causes Trevor to bleed to the point where he needs blood transfusions, colonoscopies, and medicine that cost upward of $1,000 per treatment. The colitis has spread to the point where doctors are trying one more medication before taking the drastic measure of removing Trevor’s large intestine. This has been a hard financial toll on our family but we are willing to do whatever it takes to help Trevor have the best life possible. That being said we would truly appreciate any help we can receive with Trevor’s medical bills. The doctor’s office has generously helped with $4000 but there is still an additional $11500 left on our current bills. This is a bigger burden then we can take on by ourselves and greatly appreciate the amazing people in our lives that love and support us through this tough time.
