New Lungs For Amber

About 5 months ago my best friend called me and told me that she was going to need a lung transplant, 4 months later her lung function dropped 20% and they have given her a 50% chance of making it to July 4th, 2018. I asked how being put on the list for her Double Lung Transplant was going, that is when I found out that she couldn't be listed until she could prove to her Drs that she has $10,000 - $15,000 saved for after care medical expenses, living near the hospital in San Fransisco, gas and basic needs during a recovery time of about 3 months. She has to be able to prove she has the money for her Drs to PUT HER ON THE LIST for the Double Lung Transplant she desperately needs to survive. Why does Amber need the Double Lung Transplant? Amber was born with Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic disease that slowly destroys lung tissue by causing the membranes to produce excess mucus. She has always fought against the odds and come out on top. She wasn't supposed to live to 2, 5, 12, 18, 21 and 25, but she did. Now she needs help to defy the odds. She needs new Lungs. Her antibiotics and lung treatments can only do so much. Amber is a mom of 3, her biological child is 6 and her step children are 11 and 12. The 6 and 12 year old live with her, and need their mom. She is a wonderful mother, friend, daughter, grand-daughter and partner. She deserves to live and see her children grow into adulthood. I am pretty sure she isn't ready to die, and I know I'm not ready to lose my best friend.
