Early this summer, Paul G Maurer Jr of Mendham NJ, was diagnosed with short term amnesia following a brief loss of oxygen to the brain during his sleep which was complicated by sleep apnea. He is expected to fully recover from this condition over the coming months with ongoing cognitive therapy.
Over the course of his lengthy hospital stay, comprehensive testing and his ongoing outpatient treatments, Paul has accrued medical debt that now exceeds his ability to pay. As a result, the family is now experiencing a tremendous financial burden.
