Cecelia Rose Carey

Beautiful Cecelia Rose Carey was born September 13th at Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, MN.  She is the long awaited and desperately desired daughter of Tony and DeAnna Carey.  DeAnna entered Woodwinds on Tuesday September 11th to deliver Cecelia, and only after almost 2 full days of laboring and many complications during her birth was she finally born, weighing in at 7.7 lbs.   It was determined at about 24 hours old that some of those complications indeed had caused some problems and Cecelia began having seizures.  She was taken by ambulance to Childrens Hospital in St. Paul where she remains in the NICU. Unfortunately it was confirmed that she had suffered some oxygen deprivation and a brain bleed during her birth, which they have confirmed has caused some brain damage and a stroke.   We are not sure of the extent of that damage , or what long term effect that will have on  this beautiful baby girl at this time.  We do know that the seizures have continued to this point and they are monitoring her very closely.  In an effort to keep everyone informed on her latest health information and prayer requests, Tony and DeAnna have asked me to start this blog.  They appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers and would ask that you please keep them coming.  They are totally in love and consider this news although very scary, only a setback into what we all hope will be a long wonderful life with their precious new baby girl!  To help with all of the unexpected medical costs we have started this go fund me page.  All donations and prayers are appreciated So Much!!!
