Help Jeff Recover From Liver Disease

My name is Chris Hoover and I am asking for support for my father Jeff Hoover who is suffering from end stage liver disease. He is a 65 year old former Marine (SSgt infantry) and a retired Connecticut Department of Corrections officer. Jeff and my mom, Tina, live in Melbourne, FL where they moved in 2011 after Jeff had a quadruple bypass. In April 2017, Jeff was feeling very ill and ended up in the hospital, where he was diagnosed with end stage liver disease. Unfortunately his liver will never recover. The request for support is this: my parents , Jeff and Tina, have to travel to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL every 4-6 weeks for several days at a time. At these medical appointments, they check his blood and he usually has esophagus surgery due to the liver failure. These recurring appointments cost Jeff and Tina approximately $200 a day due to gas, food, and lodging. They spend in excess of $700-800 a month due to these visits to the Mayo Clinic. Jeff and Tina have been trying to make ends meet with these added expenses but it’s finally at the point where they are making choices based on the lack of money and not what is best for Jeff’s health. I plead with you if you have anything you can spare to help Jeff and Tina so they can continue to make the Mayo Clinic appointments and keep my father healthy! Please and thank you very much.
