Britt’s Fight Against Breast Cancer
Donation protected
Our sister Brittany has been quietly battling Triple Positive Stage 1 Aggressive Breast Cancer.
At the age of 31, she discovered a small lump and found out her cancer diagnosis last November 2017. She began 18 weeks of chemotherapy right after Christmas. She will be done with chemotherapy in April but will continue with a targeted therapy drug for 1 year. She will also have multiple surgeries, possible radiation, and a 10 year hormone therapy drug. She has been fighting this battle all while being a mom to 2 young children, a wife to Scott, training a new puppy, and still working her job.
After hearing she would be going through chemotherapy and would lose all of her hair she researched and rented cold caps that are frozen to -22 degrees Celsius with dry ice and worn on her head for 8 hours during infusion days. Thankfully, the caps are working, although uncomfortable to wear, but they are helping her keep her beautiful hair!
She is very grateful for the wonderful group of family and friends who have been so helpful and supportive throughout her journey so far. She is taking it all one day at a time and staying positive.
Brittany has always been someone to put her family and others first. It’s time for us to put her first and help her with her fight. This page has been set up by her sisters to help offset any medical expenses which are not fully covered by insurance, lost wages during recovery time, diet and lifestyle changes, personal expenses for her mental and emotional well-being, and any expenses to help support and alleviate financial stresses on Brittany, Scott and their two little girls throughout this challenging time.
They appreciate your support and generosity. However, please don’t feel obligated to a financial contribution...but if you can commit to adding Brittany and her family into your thoughts and prayers. We love you Brittany!!!!
