Help Jay And Susan Fight Cancer

This fundraiser is to help Jay and Susan Knipp while they battle Jay’s acute myeloid leukemia. For the past five weeks she and Jay have been fighting Jay’s cancer with chemotherapy which has fortunately pushed Jay’s cancer into remission. The next step in their fight is a bone marrow transplant, which Jay is currently receiving chemo and full body radiation to prepare for and he is scheduled for his transplant later this month and will have a long road to recovery afterwards. Susan is currently still working while also being Jay’s primary caregiver. Susan Knipp is a licensed veterinary technician and has been teaching upcoming vet techs at Blue Ridge Community College since the early 2000’s. Many students have passed through Susan’s doors and have gone on to become better vet techs for having been taught by her. This fundraiser was started with Susan’s blessing and my hope is that all of her current and former students can help band together, as well as family and friends of the Knipps, and help support them. They still have a long road ahead of them and any amount will help. All funds will be going directly to Susan, not me, I simply set this up for them with Susan’s blessing to help get things rolling.
