Surgery For Luna
Donation protected
Hey everyone, we recently received devastating news, our 1.5 year old half-pint Shepard mix rescue Luna, was just diagnosed with a liver shunt. Liver shunts prevent toxins from from being eliminated from the body leading to all sorts of illness. Unfortunately, Luna has been going into zoned out states where she paces the house, walks into things, stares off at nothing and won’t even respond to her own name. Without treatment the best we can hope for is a slow decline and a short life. The only sure cure for her is to receive a CT scan and have surgery to correct the shunt(s), the estimates we received from the vet are $8,000-$11,000. This amount is well out of me and Johnny’s ability to pay. Which is why we are here and turning to our friends and family for help. We are going to do our best to treat Luna with changes to her diet and medications for now but these are only a temporary solution. We’ve had Luna since she was 9 weeks old and raised her into the sweet and loving girl she is today. All we want is for her to have the opportunity to live a healthy life. Please help us in anyway you can.
