Last Year Of Volleyball For Some..

Hi, my name is Zach Mayer and I am going to be playing for the 18u Durham attack volleyball team this year. It shocked me to hear that my best friend Zach Milton, who I have been playing with for years may not be able to play his final year at all. He is number 26 in the middle of the photo. His love and excitement for the game is un matched. Zach truly loves the game of volleyball, if he could play every day he would .. during practice he was the hardest working and most dedicated. For example, every single practice while the rest of my team was taking a water break, Zach would be practicing his spin serve which he got very good at by the end of the year. Zach also plays on the school volleyball team and he also admires the beach game. It saddens me to know that my best friend might not be able to play for reasons out of his or his family’s control, with his father out of the picture , and his mom working to raise 3 kids that are also involved in hockey and dance. Money is very tough and volleyball being a very expensive sport to play, Zach may not be able to make great memories and complete our final year as Durham attack volleyball players. A goal we have been working towards and dreaming about since we were in elementary school, when we dreamed of playing club one day. I love playing volleyball but I couldn’t imagine doing it without my best friend. Any donation would be greatly appreciated by zach, myself and the rest of the 18u durham attack players. It would be a tremendous loss to see him not be able to play our last season together and lose various post secondary opportunities.
