Gary Clevenger's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
GARY UPDATE: It saddens me to have to announce that my father, Gary Clevenger, passed away 1-11-14 at 8 am. He passed away in his sleep in the care of hospice after it was determined he would not pull through from the damage the stroke caused. We will not be holding a funeral because it was against his wishes, we will be holding a celebration of life party at our home in Cypress, Texas on January 26, 2014 @ 1 pm. We will now be using donations from here to pay for medical expenses and supplies for the celebratory dinner. Anything that you can donate would be very much appreciated by the family and my beloved late father. He was truly a great man and had many great people that loved him. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

The beginning of the battle befor his passing below:

Hi I'm Kailyn Clevenger, Gary Clevenger's daughter. I am starting this fundraiser to help my family pay for my dad's medical expenses from a recent stroke.

On Christmas Eve me, my dad, and younger brother grant were headed home from Walgreens when my dad began to have a stroke in the car. I immediately drove us home and called 911, they were there in a matter of 2 minutes. That night in the ER we were given the news that my dad had suffered a hemorrhaging stroke and was paralyzed on his left side. 2 days after he suffered the stroke he fell into a coma and we have been on a roller coaster with his health since. He was put on intubation ( breathing life support ) that keeps him breathing. We were given very upsetting news yesterday1/6/14, that there may be no hope in him waking up. They began to prepare us for the worse as we were going to begin to take him off life support (because it is against his wishes). Me and my mom were awaken this morning 1/7/14 with the best news we have been given since Christmas Eve, that my daddy had awaken and was alert! Defying all odds my daddy woke up. It is still going to be a battle to get him better and with each day that he is here, the medical expenses grow. My dad has no health insurance so all the bills are left to the family.
