Year 5 Backpacks For Kids!

Hello all! Welcome to our Year 5 Backpacks for Kids Fundraising! We began this journey in 2014 and so far the fund raising has given to a total of 1,052 wonderful children the last four years! (352 in 2017!) Also, last year we were able to personally match the donations although we barely met our goal of $1500.00! What a stretch but we did it! For those who are seeing this for the first time, the backpacks are given around Christmas and New Year to our more disadvantaged children around Northern Philippines. The children are gifted a backpack each, with items they can use at school. These are items some of our children take for granted here but each piece is appreciated among the recipients in that beautiful side of our world.. So please consider giving to this cause. ❤️
As a child I’ve experienced hunger and lack and a lot of rejection where I came from, and this has been a way, besides praying for them, that I can help heal that pain. Let’s love on them and nurture them so they can have better mindsets and a more wonderful outlook for their world. Thank you in advance and God bless you as you share the love!

We’ve lowered our goal for this year, to make it more attainable. We’ve originally wanted to to raise the same amount we’ve been raising and sending every year, which was $1,500.00 but we’ve decided to bring it down to $500.00 this time. There have been some significant challenges this year, so I’ve decided to continue with the project but at a much smaller scale. We will only reach out to the original place we’ve gone to since 2014 and maybe a couple more places as the funds come in. If by any miracle, funds do come in and the original goal is met then we’ll just give more! Remember 100 PERCENT of your gift goes to the project!! ❤️
