Rally 4 Reynolds

As many of you know, Keith Reynolds, a life-long resident of Wakefield, MA was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in September of 2012. Keith is married to Cathy (Terravecchia) and they have two children, Michael & Aimee. Michael is a recent graduate of Boston College and Aimee is a junior at Merrimack College.

Immediately after this devastating diagnosis, Keith was admitted for intensive treatment at Brigham & Women's Hospital and continues to treat at Dana Farber under the care of Dr. Daniel D'Angelo. Keith has had a few set-backs, allergic reactions to medications, and a very serious fungal infection which required additional inpatient treatment. This has caused his treatment time to be extended much longer then anticipated and the projected end of treatment is hopefully the end of October, 2014.

Keith has not been able to work at all since his diagnosis and his disability income is just enough to pay for his medical insurance premiums. Cathy is working two part-time jobs and is doing a great job trying to make ends meet, all the while being Keith's primary care-giver. It was clear from the beginning that she could not cover the loss of Keith's salary and take on all of the expenses on her own so a group of family and friends was organized and put together the well-attended and successful "Rally 4 Reynolds" fundraiser.

The "Rally 4 Reynolds" event took place almost a year ago on January 12, 2013 and $25,000 was raised. This fund, which is on the verge of depletion, was sufficient enough to carry the family for the past year. It has been the sole monetary source for mortgage payments and has helped supplement the complete loss of Keith's income. What is of utmost concern is the fact that Keith won't be able to return to work until treatment is over and he's been cleared to return so we are estimating another year of need. Therefore, it's imperative that family and friends to step in once again to help.

We knew it would be difficult to re-create the magic of the "Rally 4 Reynolds" and we want to wait until Keith's treatment is completed before having another party! We felt a "GoFundMe" campaign was just what the doctor ordered as this type of fundraiser allows flexibility for people to donate as they are able and at their convenience.

Please feel free to share this page with your family and friends. We continue to be forever grateful to all of you who have truly been a part of our "Rally 4 Reynolds".
