A Noble Cause

Donate to a Noble cause:

My cousins Justina and Richard Noble both were born with Cystic Fibrosis which is a hereditary disease that causes a thick sticky mucous to build up in vital organs in your body. Their family is currently in a financial situation and they could really use our help! They have been coping with this illness for over 32 years and have barely asked anyone for help so I believe they deserve a helping hand from us now. Their family is struggling to stay afloat with mounting medical bills and they are in the process of having 2 vehicles in the family that need work but they are not able to afford it. Justina is not able to work because of her condition and their mother Liz has been out of work for 20 years to care for her children...here is their story...

Justina’s story:

Justina has had 2 double lung transplants and a kidney transplant that was donated to her by her mother. On July 11th 2003 was her first double lung transplant. She was doing so well for a long time but rapidly deteriorated when rejection set in and on April 20th 2008 she was lucky enough to get a 3rd chance at life by receiving another set of lungs. Because of all the rejection medication Justina’s kidneys started to fail and on October 3rd 2013 her mother (Liz Noble) gave her a kidney to help keep Justina alive. Justina has not been able to hold a job or complete college because of her debilitating illness. Over the past few years she has been suffering from rejection from her current set of lungs which has put a strain on their family both emotionally and financially. Justina has had the same vehicle for 14 years and it is in need of a lot of maintenance that they can not afford. Her parents vehicle is also in the same situation...without a reliable vehicle getting to their doctor appointments will be near impossible.

Richards Story:

Richards disease affects his body differently than Justina’s. His is not as focused in his lungs and affects his kidneys and liver more. He has endured months of his life in and out of the hospital and at one point has even been diagnosed with different skin conditions because of all the medications they have been on throughout their lives. He underwent a kidney and liver transplant on September 13th 2010. Currently at the age of 27 he still lives at home with his parents and sister because their family needs the help and support.

Parents:

Liz and Rick Noble have got to be the most caring and loving parents I know. Liz gave up her career as a front end supermarket manager to stay with her children and take them to their countless doctor appointments/hospital stays. She has given up years of her own life to stay with her children in Connecticut children’s medical center and NY Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. Richard (their father) has worked hard his entire life to support his family and is a Vietnam war veteran. He has not only devoted his life to the love of our country but has also sacrificed so much for his family as well. At the age of 74 he still has to hold down a job to financially support his family. He tried retiring years ago from a butcher position at IGA supermarket but needed to return for work shortly after because of financial situations. Last year he fell down a flight of stairs and broke his hip. This also has put a huge strain on his family and after months of recovery he had to return back to work just to make ends meet or they would lose their family home.

This family deserves our love, support and financial assistance. Please reach into your hearts and pockets to help this truly “Noble” cause!
