Camila’s Surgery & Medical Fund

Camila discovered a lump that grew in her underarm area over the summer. After a speedy whirlwind of doctor visits, imaging and a referral to a surgeon/pediatric oncologist, she was found to have an unusually large axillary lymph node mass that must be removed ASAP. She is scheduled for surgery September 7th. Further testing will be done. The worst case scenario is lymphoma, or lymph node cancer, but our doctors advise we stay positive! This campaign was created to help offset the expense of the operation, which includes the surgeon’s bill, anesthesiology costs, hospital fees, medications and a post-op follow-up. Camila had insurance through a family member who, as luck would have it, unexpectedly lost coverage the very same week this discovery was made. Enrolling her in a new plan will likely not be in effect until at least next month, we’re told, and self-paying must be done before the procedure, so we are reaching out for a little help from our friends.
