One state. 272 miles. Three women. One cause.
This summer, we, Sara, Amy and Mary LoTemplio, will be hiking the Long Trail in Vermont as a mother-daugher-daughter trio. The trail stretches the entire length of Vermont.
We decided to hike for an important cause that supports education and is very dear to our hearts.
The Anthony J Bailey Memorial Scholarship fund for students in the North Country.
Tony Bailey was a very special man who tragically passed away in fall of 2012 after countless years of dedicated service to his community as a state trooper, and being an adored and respected father, husband, brother, son, uncle and friend to all who knew him. Tony was also uncle to Sara and Amy, godfather to Sara, and brother-in-law to Mary. His wife Jennifer, Mary's sister, set up a scholarship in his honor for students in the North Country pursuing higher education.
We believe and hope that every step we take across this beautiful North Country trail will bring local children one step closer to affordable education in the community Tony was so well loved in.
