Support and Prayers for My Aunt Maria

My Aunt Maria has survived breast cancer twice with remissions both times, but unfortunately - as of this past month - Maria is battling a deadly form of stage 3 lung cancer. Not only is she battling cancer but she also has diabetes and heart problems. In recent years, she had been a caretaker for both of her late parents as well as her disabled brother on top of being a loving wife and mother of a teenage daughter. As one can imagine, having such medical needs alongside other priorities is mentally and physically draining, especially on a day-to-day basis.
Having the best medical facilities in Boston has been a tremendous help, but we also realize that her time spent in and out of the hospital over the years (easily equal to a couple of months) is difficult to give back. Even before the onset of this new cancer, Maria has had extreme difficulty in finding personal time for herself and being able to enjoy things that we often take for granted such as vacationing and traveling. Because so much of her extra time that she does have is dedicated toward caring for others, we would like to take this opportunity to pay it back to her, especially in this great time of need.
As part of this fundraising event, we would like to extend a helping hand to you to get Maria on vacation with her family to their destination of choice.
