Completing Connor's headstone

You have all been beyond amazing. This began as a site to raise money for a special handicapped chair for our van so that it would be easier to do things as a family together and transporting our growing boy.Tragically the day before the Knights of Columbus had agreed to pay the rest of the money we needed to make this happen, our son died unexpectedly from complications of a stomach bug that went through our family....more specifically, Sepsis. Because of everyone's generosity, we were able to cover the wake, funeral, so many other financial details of this devastating circumstance, along with helping with the bills so that my Husband could stay home with us for weeks to grieve and take care of our family. It was so hard to know that the money raised to go towards such a life changing thing in a positive way had been so quickly reversed and we now were paying for our son's funeral with it. I have no idea what we would have done if it weren't for you all. I was asked by people to update the page for those that can't make it to our Bake Sale & Lemonade Stand this weekend.

The last phase of laying our son to rest is getting his headstone. It is so incredibly difficult to "visit" him at the cemetery in general, nevermind having to see the plain metal stake that the funeral home supplied. I so badly want to create a garden for him with flowers that I can choose for him but we need to wait until the headstone is there. The goal page wouldn't let me reset the goal amount, so I added $1,800 to the new goal. The $1,800 is what is left to pay for the headstone so that it can be paid in full when they tell us it is completed. If we manage to raise extra at any point between this page and our bake sale/lemonade stand we are having the weekend of July 26th & 27th, it would go towards the cobblestone, flowers and barkmulch for his special garden. We can't thank you enough!
