Dr Bills and Surprise Birthday Trip Home

Donation protected
Happy New Year "“ I hope this New Year will be a great one; I know it has to be! Yesterday ended with a scare for our family, but fortunately everything is okay. I'm not the type to ask for help, so I feel like I'm really about to pour my heart out, so please bare with me. If you know me personally, you already know my Dad had a health scare back in 2009 when he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Fortunately, he was seen by an amazing group of Doctors at the University of Maryland Medical Center and the cancer was diagnosed early enough. He was treated with both chemo and radiation and has been in remission ever since. As he was feeling strong enough to return to work (construction), he had a stroke. The stroke impaired his left side peripheral vision. Luckily, the damage was not extensive, but it did leave him without the ability to do certain activities that we at times may take for granted "“ driving, the ability to read (to the left), etc. Since the stroke, he has been unable to return to work and he doesn't speak English which doesn't make the situation any easier. He really moved here for my brother and I, he's been the best father he could be and I know he would give the world for us "“ so I would love to be able to help him and give back in any way I can. Yesterday, I was having lunch with him and he suffered a seizure. It was one of the scariest things I've witnessed as I was afraid it was another stroke. He was discharged earlier today and he has now to follow up with three doctors. All the Dr visits he requires (without insurance/he did obtain Medicare) and all the other bills have piled up and have become a major worry for them. I know he is stressed out of his mind and my mom has worked so hard to just get them through this and I know both of them deserve a much needed break. My Dad has become depressed "“ along with his other health problems (diabetes/high blood pressure/seriously, he can't seem to catch a break). I really really really would love to be able to send them back home for two weeks "“ a month even, if it were possible, to see his mom who has asked multiple times to see him. Financially, it's not possible to send him back home, but I know there is nothing he would like more (to be able to see, if no one else, his mom). I really would love any ideas on how to raise enough money for them. Everything I sell on here from now on will go directly towards their bills and trip. I would love to reach $2,000 by March 9th to surprise him for his birthday. I know it's the best gift I could give him (and if I make it "“ I really hope so "“ I will video his reaction). I have also asked for any help/ideas over on IG at lovefrancescagram and you can reach me by email at [email redacted]
